Antartica means the opposites of Artic . Antartica is ice covered landmass. The size of Antartica is nearly twice size of the United States. Antartica is the coldest area in the world. It is about 30 degrees colder than the Artic. At the American South Pole Station, winter temperatures sometimes fall below -100 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest temperature in the world, was measured in 1960, is -127 degrees Fahrenheit. On the Atartica there are few plants can grow here. In the Artic there are some plant in the some of ice-free areas. The land animals in the artic are foxes, bears, reindeer and lemmings. In the Antartica these animal are unknown. Antartica is the storehouse of world supply ice. About 85% ice in the world are in the Antartica. So what about if all of this ice melting? Of course, volume level sea will be significantly increases. A Global warming will take part if this surely happen.
