English Assignment: The Green Revolution

Green revolution era is began from 1950 to 1980. Green Revolution doubled the production of food. It’s happen because green revolution makes so much development in using the chemical and machinery in agriculture.
After green revolution method was implemented there are some trouble while using the green revolution method. For example is expensive watering system. Many farmers cannot afford to buy all the equipment. They also cannot buy expensive chemical insecticides since the new grains are more easily damaged by insects.
Erosion also becomes problem for farmers since The Green Revolution method using large scale farming for single crop. In the dry area there is problem for the farmer because the new types of grain need much more water than other grain usually.
The effect of The Green Revolution when many farmers cannot afford to buy more, and so production decreases. The chemical effect of using so much insecticides is pollution and health problems. This chemical effect is long term bad effect for us.
Finally, the Green Revolution has brought social problems and pollution for us. Maybe Green Revolution can make the needs of food and the production of food meet but also cause the long term effect for us. Government need to find the method that less destructive than Green Revolution.
